Rango, the timeless village of Trentino

Autore: Redazione 02/08/2025 19:48

The village of Rango, located just a few kilometers from Lake Garda, has for several years been listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.

Nestled among the mountains of the Bleggio Plateau, Rango is one of the most beautiful villages in Trentino.

At 800 meters above sea level, Rango always enjoys fresh air both in summer and in winter, offering visitors a pleasant climate throughout the year.

What to see in Rango

The main attractions of this village are its very stone houses, built side by side and connected by arcades, arches, or wooden balconies.

Walking through the vòlt—the covered passageways once used by shepherds and travelers—you can breathe in a quiet, intimate atmosphere typical of the Alpine environment.

The heart of the village is the small square, from which narrow alleys branch off, leading visitors to the little Church of the Annunciation and the old rural school, now transformed into a museum where early 20th-century school materials are preserved.

During the Christmas season, Rango turns into a living nativity scene: its arcades and cellars fill with lights, flavors, and local crafts, creating one of the most characteristic Christmas markets in Trentino.

What to see around Rango

Thanks to its strategic location, Rango is the perfect base for exploring the Trentino hinterland.

In just a short time you can reach the village of Canale di Tenno, Lake Tenno, and the Comano Thermal Baths.

For nature lovers, the Adamello Brenta Natural Park offers hiking trails, alpine lakes, and breathtaking views.

With just a few more kilometers, you can also reach Riva del Garda or Arco, for a wonderful day on Lake Garda.

So, what are you waiting for? Come and discover the village of Rango!
