Viterbo, known as “the city of the Popes,” preserves a unique historical heritage that spans millennia, from the Etruscans to the pontifical Middle Ages. In 48 hours, visitors can embark on an immersive journey through the untouched charm of the San Pellegrino district, the underground city, and the majestic Monumental Complex on the Colle del Duomo, home to the famed Papal Palace, where the longest conclave in history took place.
The second day leads into the civic and artistic heart of the city, from Piazza del Plebiscito to the elegant Palazzo dei Priori, passing through Baroque gems such as the Church of the Gonfalone and identity landmarks like the Church of Santa Rosa.
