“Visto, si stampi!” — Lecture series at the Civic Archaeological Museum

The Civic Archaeological Museum of Bologna presents Visto, si stampi!, a sequence of four free events aimed at introducing recent publications and exhibition updates. All meetings take place in the museum conference room (Via dell'Archiginnasio 2) and start at 17:00.

Event schedule

• Saturday 21 March 2026, 17:00 — Launch of the new Guide to the Civic Archaeological Museum of Bologna, revised and published in Italian and English. Curators will highlight renewed displays, objects returned to view and the guide’s accessible format designed for general audiences. A guided walk through the galleries with the curators follows.
• Saturday 28 March 2026, 17:00 — Presentation of The Coin Cabinet Revealed, documenting recent numismatic displays (2023–2025). The numismatic collection’s curators will speak and the related exhibition Pasqua in nummis (25 March–6 July 2026) will be introduced.
• Saturday 11 April 2026, 17:00 — Presentation of Stones that Speak: Voices and Stories from Bononia, a creative guide to the museum’s lapidary aimed primarily at adolescents but suitable for adults. Authors and museum archaeologists will offer an animated presentation of the book.
• Saturday 18 April 2026, 17:00 — Presentation of The Foundry of Bologna. The San Francesco Hoard in the Work of Antonio Zannoni, a reissue of an important early 20th-century study on a major Etruscan discovery, introduced by the volume’s editor and guest scholars.
