Villa Durazzo Pallavicini, located in Pegli (Genoa), is a 19th-century monumental estate combining staged garden design, historic buildings and a roughly 3 km long scenic route conceived as a theatrical experience. Built between 1840 and 1846 by architect Michele Canzio for Marquis Ignazio Pallavicini, the park is famous for its extensive camellia collection — the largest in Italy — and for its evocative, sometimes esoteric atmosphere.
The park offers a unique combination of landscape design, architecture and symbolic storytelling — ideal for visitors interested in historic gardens, period architecture and seasonal flowering displays. The layout, conceived as a three-act journey from darker wooded sections to bright, open spaces, creates a dramatic and memorable walk.
