Vernissage: 'Dracula and Mina' at Galleria Patrizia Anastasi

On Friday 17 April 2026 at 18:00, Galleria Patrizia Anastasi in Rome presents the vernissage of Dracula and Mina, an exhibition by Natascia De Sanctis. The show merges cinematic imagery of the vampire myth with a personal painting practice, creating an installation that navigates the boundary between the visible and the imaginary.

The artistic approach

De Sanctis' research combines figurative technique with instinctive methods. Key aspects of her practice include:

  • drawings executed with open eyes, featuring pastel tones and delicate gradations;
  • works produced with eyes closed, conceived as a ritual gesture and a direct channel to the unconscious;
  • a technological-art project based on holography, started in 2018 and currently in development.

The exhibition draws inspiration from cinematic adaptations of Dracula, reinterpreting gothic figures and symbols through a contemporary, symbolic language.

Events and performance

The opening night will include a vocal performance by soprano Erika Nakanishi, trained at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory and active in operatic and choral settings. Music and performative elements are used to create an immersive atmosphere that complements the visual works.

Photographers Dino Fiore and Giada Iuliano will document the event and its atmospheres.
