Vernice Art Fair in Forlì: three days dedicated to contemporary art
From March 27 to 29 the Forlì Fair welcomes the 23rd edition of Vernice Art Fair, a market-exhibition that brings together galleries, solo artists, collectives and associations from across Italy and abroad. The fair addresses collectors, the general public and art professionals with exhibitions, live acts, academy presentations and charitable initiatives.
Opening hours: Friday 27 March 16:30–19:30; Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 10:00–19:30.
Tickets: full €8, reduced €6; free for children under 12.
Main sections and highlights
- Feature exhibitions: including The Essence of the Universe by Amanda Chiarucci (Galleria Lara) and a welcoming installation by Alberto & Rino Costa.
- Voci dalla Terra (Voices from the Earth): a collaborative project showcasing Giorgio Laveri (ceramics), Theo Gallino (protective sculptures) and Laura Mircea (moving planispheres). Curated by Vincenzo Chetta (Biancoscuro Art Mag) in partnership with Matteo Ragni Arte Contemporanea. Laura Mircea will perform live on Saturday 28 at 17:00.
- Academies section: young artists from Bologna, Florence, Ravenna, Verona, SantaGiulia (Brescia) and Aydin Adnan Menderes University (Turkey) present an exchange titled “The Silence of Ruins”.
- Spazio 4×4: curated by Oscar Dominguez, featuring Annalisa Conte, Silvia Carnevale Miino, Marta Rosa and Giuliana Simian.
- Euroexpoart: international pavilion with delegates from more than 25 countries and book presentations, including works by Maurizio Vitiello and Sara Sapora.
- Paolo Liverani tribute: curated by Lia Briganti, the exhibition explores Liverani’s textured and dreamlike painting.
Special projects and charity
- Art Auction for La Nave (18th edition): contributions from 70 artists; proceeds support the Fondo Aiuto allo Studio Don Lino Andrini with scholarships and aid for students.
- Paperi d’Artista: artists’ reinterpretations of duck figures to fund oncological research at IRST Dino Amadori; the auction is scheduled for Saturday 28 at 18:00 and proceeds go to IRST Meldola.
- School competition: theme 2026 “Path of Peace” encourages primary and secondary students to reflect on peace and fraternity, tied to the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi.
- Coinè Art Prize: winners announced Sunday 29 at 18:00, with press awards.
