Verbania receives €740,000 for youth cultural project

An investment in culture and young people: the Interreg Italy–Switzerland grant funds "Un posto dove sto bene", a project coordinated by the Municipality of Verbania aimed at boys and girls aged 11 to 15.

• Duration: 30 months
• Partners: Museo del Paesaggio, Fondazione Cross, Festival delle Due Rocche, and cultural institutions in Canton Ticino and Bellinzona
• Target group: ages 11–15
• Key targets: 7 cultural sites involved, 100 operators, 10 replicable formats, 60 international study visits, and a projected 15% increase in cross-border cultural tourism

The project will expand the cultural space in Pallanza into an active learning centre offering artistic residencies, theatre workshops, live performances and student exchanges between Italy and Switzerland. Some activities begin in April, with a structured rollout from September.

Verbania’s role: as lead partner, the municipality will coordinate a transnational network to foster skills, participation and the enhancement of local cultural and natural heritage, strengthening lasting cultural ties with Switzerland and investing in the next generation.
