Olive Oil and Culture: Tunisia Strengthens Dialogue with Italy

On March 31, the Tunisian Embassy in Italy hosted "Tunisia: Beyond Tourism, A Land of Flavours", an event promoting Tunisia's cultural and gastronomic heritage with a special focus on olive oil, a product emblematic of local tradition and internationally recognised for its quality.

The meeting brought together agri-food experts, tourism operators, journalists and representatives of Italian companies. In his remarks, Chargé d'Affaires Mohamed Hedi Chihaoui highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in economic and cultural fields, presenting olive oil as a vehicle for dialogue and exchange.

Speaker Foad Aodi emphasised the connection between diet and health, noting how olive oil can be promoted within health and tourism initiatives to enhance Euro-Mediterranean culinary routes.
