Venticano strengthens its role as a reference point for the Mezzogiorno's inland areas

The 47th Venticano Trade Fair concluded after four days that brought together operators, institutions and visitors to discuss agriculture, food and rural tourism. The 2026 edition featured more than 160 exhibitors and reaffirmed the fairgrounds as a space for debate on the economy of inland areas.

Organized by the Pro Loco Venticanese, the fair combined machinery and green technology exhibitions with food stands, conferences and training sessions on cross-cutting issues such as road safety, event management and awareness against gender-based violence.

• Participation: over 160 exhibitors including farms, agri-food operators and green-tech providers.
• Main themes: olive growing, rural and village tourism, energy saving, enterprise networks and training.
• Digital impact: more than 2 million social media views in the past month and strong community growth online.
• Outlook: calls for renovation of the fairgrounds and investment in young people, small producers and territorial valorisation.

The Pro Loco president described the fair as “dynamic, well-attended and vital,” while the mayor stressed the need to channel regional and European funds to make the fairgrounds a hub for modern European agriculture. The event is confirmed as an opportunity to foster development and counter depopulation of inland areas.
