Veneto is expecting a stronger tourist season: preliminary data and Confindustria Veneto forecasts point to increased arrivals, particularly for seaside and mountain destinations.
According to Mauro Rosatti, tourism advisor for Confindustria Veneto, 22 million arrivals were registered in 2025 and 2026 could bring further growth. Key projections include:
Tourist profiles reveal demographic and behavioural shifts: 45% are couples, families account for 25.5%, solo travellers for 15.4% (often accompanied by pets), while business travel remains low (0.8%).
Industrial tourism stands out as a growing niche: it already attracts 5.8 million visitors nationally, and Veneto is expanding its offer of company museums, guided factory visits and industrial archaeology sites. Confindustria Veneto recently joined the BTI (Borsa del Turismo Industriale); the eighth edition will take place on 2026-09-30 in Bologna.
Opportunities range from historic winery museums to lesser-known company museums and areas such as Porto Marghera, which hold largely unexplored industrial cultural assets. Expanding these offers can help destagionalize tourism and extend the regional season.
For accommodation providers, pet‑friendly policies and themed experiences (food and wine, industrial heritage, company visits) are increasingly strategic to capture new market segments.
