Venice: Harper’s Bazaar Italia unveils new issue as a one‑night

Autore: Redazione 06/05/2026 19:43

Harper’s Bazaar Italia turns its new issue into an exhibition: Venice vernissage

Against the backdrop of Venice before the 2026 Art Biennale, Harper’s Bazaar Italia celebrated Issue 29 with a one‑night exhibition at Palazzo Diedo, home to Berggruen Arts & Culture. The exclusive vernissage converted the magazine into a tangible, walk‑through experience.

Artists and curatorial concept

The show presented photographs by Juergen Teller and his creative partner Dovile Drizyte. Creative directors M/M (Paris) imagined the issue as a "paper pavilion," making the portfolio a cohesive visual ecosystem full of evocative references.

  • Date: 5 May 2026 (one‑night vernissage)
  • Venue: Palazzo Diedo, Berggruen Arts & Culture, Venice
  • Artists: Juergen Teller and Dovile Drizyte
  • Creative curators: M/M (Paris)

Installation and themes

The installation rejected conventional framed displays: images were laid out on a single long table that ran through the first‑floor rooms, inviting guests to walk within the visual narrative. The portfolio offers an intimate, slightly decadent view of Venice—autumnal moods, stark contrasts and a blend of sensuality with everyday details.

Highlights of the evening

  • An opening conversation between editorial director Stefano Tonchi and collector Claudio Marenzi on the links between corporate culture and curatorial practice.
  • Guests explored the spread‑out images directly around the central table.
  • Event partners and notable attendees joined the celebration of the new issue.

Practical note

The exhibition was conceived as an exclusive one‑night event (vernissage on 5 May 2026). The new magazine issue was made available on newsstands from 5 May 2026.
