Vasto launches “City Ambassador – Vasto in the World”

The Municipality of Vasto has launched the “City Ambassador – Vasto in the World” project, aimed at creating an international network of Vasto residents who live, study or work abroad and can represent and promote the city internationally.

The initiative seeks to turn ties with Vasto's expatriate communities into a tangible resource for local development by promoting culture, tourism, traditions and potential economic connections.

• Tourism and cultural promotion: ambassadors will help raise awareness of Vasto's cultural and tourist offerings in their host countries.
• Community recognition: the project acknowledges the role of Vasto residents abroad as bearers of local identity.
• Networks and economic opportunities: the aim is to activate professional and relational links beneficial to the territory.

Any Vasto citizen living abroad can apply by emailing their details and a brief presentation to the address provided by the Municipality. The first certificate was awarded to Giuliano Da Roit. According to the mayor and the councillor for twinning, the initiative intends to build a stable bridge between the city and its overseas communities, opening new avenues for cultural, social and economic collaboration.
