Tuscany Trail 2026: dates, routes and practical info

The Tuscany Trail returns to Maremma from 20 to 26 May 2026, starting in Campiglia Marittima with a capped field of 6,000 riders. Designed for lovers of gravel and bikepacking, the event emphasizes exploration over competition: there are no rankings and no time limits.

Available routes

  • Main route: approximately 445 km with over 5,300 m of elevation gain. Suitable for gravel and mountain bikes; endurance is required rather than technical expertise.
  • Newbie route: 160 km, created for those new to bikepacking and to be enjoyed with community support.

What the route offers

Both itineraries cross emblematic Tuscan landscapes: white gravel roads, rolling vineyards, coastal panoramas and historic villages. The trail runs through areas tied to the DOC Maremma Toscana, adding an enogastronomic dimension to the ride.

Organisation and partners

The event is organised by AdventureLab, a company specialised in active bike tourism across Europe. For 2026 the Tuscany Trail continues its partnership with the Consorzio Vini della Maremma Toscana, reinforcing the link between local wine production and outdoor experiences.

Practical details

  • Start: Campiglia Marittima
  • Dates: 20–26 May 2026
  • Registration: limited field (6,000 participants)
  • Technical level: suitable for gravel/MTB; Newbie route for bikepacking beginners

For full schedules, stage descriptions, support services and registration procedures visit the official event pages and the Consorzio Vini della Maremma Toscana website.
