Trekking from the olive groves to the sea in the Coastal Dunes Regional Park

This guided walk links inland ancient olive groves to the coastline, crossing pastures, limestone outcrops and the dune belt before the sea. The itinerary highlights typical Apulian landscapes: monumental olive trees, fragrant Mediterranean scrub and wetland areas ideal for birdwatching and discovering historic aquaculture sites.

Participants will walk along karst-carved rock, learn to recognize aromatic species like thyme and mastic, and reach the dune environment featuring centuries-old junipers and myrtles. A seaside break provides time to rest before returning along a picturesque white road.
