Accessible tourism: 'Di pari passo' brings Pontremoli to visitors with vulnerabilities

Pontremoli (MS) — An accessible tourism initiative yesterday saw the village of Pontremoli host a guided visit designed to welcome people with vulnerabilities, highlighting how cultural mediation can support inclusive participation.

• Organisers: Sigeric guides, active in the Lunigiana area.
• Participants: about ten young people with vulnerabilities, accompanied by AUSL Parma staff, Coop. Aurora Domus and CAI volunteers.
• Logistics: the group travelled by train from Valceno and Valtaro; Education Councillor Annalisa Clerici welcomed them at the station.

The initiative is part of practices that adapt tour content to ensure sensory and cognitive accessibility, offering a replicable model for territories aiming to widen cultural provision without excluding people with differing abilities.
