Tivoli to host a university hub for sustainable tourism

From the next academic year the University of Tor Vergata will open in Tivoli a degree course in "Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Heritage Enhancement", headquartered at the Museo della Città.

• Location: Museo della Città, Tivoli.
• Institution: University of Tor Vergata.
• Purpose: to train professionals in sustainable tourism management and cultural heritage enhancement.
• Fieldwork: hands-on activities focused on Villa d'Este, Villa Adriana and the Sanctuary of Hercules Victor.
• Next steps: an official public presentation of the course will be held soon.

Mayor Marco Innocenzi highlighted that the initiative strengthens the city's cultural identity and offers students the chance to learn directly from local heritage. The project was launched in collaboration with Rector Nathan Levialdi Ghiron.

The new program aims to combine theoretical training and practical experience to support tourism that values and protects Tivoli's historic and artistic assets.
