Conegliano unveils the new "Borgo Verde": redevelopment project

The Municipality of Conegliano has launched an urban regeneration plan for the former Zanussi area, aiming to transform a strategic portion near the historic centre into a lively public space connected to the Prosecco hills.

• Public green: more than 2 hectares dedicated to parks and community areas.
• Collective spaces: equipped areas for events, cultural activities and civic services.
• Mobility and parking: increased parking capacity and improved links to local transport nodes.
• Education and sports: plans for a school hub, an ITS institute and sports facilities including a large gym.
• Sustainability: measures such as photovoltaic roofs, green facades and pedestrianisation to enhance environmental quality.

The urban concept foresees a large public square as a meeting place for events and cultural initiatives, and strengthened connections with the Prosecco hills to enhance ties with the historic centre. The plan also envisages public involvement in defining spaces and cultural programming.
