From 17 to 23 April 2026 Medina Art Gallery presents The Cycle of Dragonflies, a solo exhibition by Serbian artist Aleksandra Stefanović with a curatorial text by Lilly Randzio. The series groups works produced over the past two years that reflect on change and self-discovery.
The cycle consists of eighteen paintings where the dragonfly acts as a central symbol: moving through watery landscapes, blossoms and dreamlike spaces to evoke vulnerability, freedom of choice and the courage to embrace authenticity. Stefanović's approach is marked by lyrical color harmonies, fluid transitions and atmospheric compositions that invite quiet contemplation.
Brief bio: born in Prokuplje, Serbia (1996), Stefanović began studying International Relations in Belgrade before turning to painting. Her practice evolved into a personal investigation of identity and authenticity, shaping an expressive visual language rooted in intuition and emotion.
Visit the exhibition to experience a poetic visual investigation of transformation and to engage with works that encourage pause, reflection and emotional connection.
