Teramo presents bid for Italian Book Capital 2027

The Municipality of Teramo is promoting its cultural agenda at the Turin International Book Fair. As part of the Abruzzo stand program, inaugurated by Regional Culture Councillor Roberto Santangelo, the opening day featured events to promote reading, libraries and the artistic heritage of the Teramo area.

• 12:00 - official presentation of Teramo's candidacy for Italian Book Capital 2027. The project is conceived as a territorial initiative with Teramo as lead entity coordinating a network of municipalities, associations and cultural organisations.

• 13:00 - presentation of a guide to the Church of San Giovanni Battista in Castelli, promoted by the Cooperativa di Comunità Castelli d'Abruzzo – Arte e Turismo, to highlight an important site of Abruzzo's cultural heritage.

The candidacy emphasizes the book as a tool for social growth and territorial development, fostering collaboration among local administrations and cultural actors.
