Tipicità in Blu opens in Ancona: sea, culture and the blue economy

Under the theme "The sea begins from the mountain", from 16 to 22 May 2026 Ancona stages the 13th edition of Tipicità in Blu, a festival focused on the blue economy—including fishing, shipbuilding, research, sustainability, sport and gastronomy.

• 16 May, 11:00 - launch of the 2026 Grand Tour delle Marche at Marina Dorica, hosted by Monica Caradonna (RAI Linea Verde Italia).
• 16-17 May - the Sailing Chef enogastronomic regatta and Blu tours theatrical visits staged by students of Liceo Savoia Benincasa.
• 17 May, 09:30 - Visit to the Shipyard with departures from the Mole Vanvitelliana to the Fincantieri shipyard (by reservation).
• 18-22 May - professional days at the Mole Vanvitelliana with discussions on nautical innovation, creativity and new skills.
• 22 May, 17:30 - closing forum "Democratic energy and the water cycle", hosted by Duilio Giammaria.
• Through 24 May the Blue Week offers themed menus, evening events and exhibitions across the city, including the Civic Pinacoteca and the National Tactile Museum Omero.

The festival is organised in collaboration with the Municipality of Ancona and a broad network of institutional and private partners, with the patronage of the European Commission and the Marche Region, and contributes to the path towards Ancona Italian Capital of Culture 2028.
