Capitoline Superintendency: events from 10 to 16 April 2026
The Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage presents a full week of activities at Rome’s civic museums: new exhibitions, guided tours, special openings and archaeological itineraries. Below is a curated list of main events with practical details for visitors.
- Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi – 11 April: opening of the exhibition It’s Happening Again by Adrian Tranquilli, featuring three new installations on the Joker theme. The exhibition runs until 24 May 2026. Info: www.museodiroma.it
- Musei Capitolini – project Il non finito: fra poetica e tecnica esecutiva: mediation sessions by students of the Accademia di Belle Arti every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00 and 13:00; exhibition on display until 14 June 2026. www.museicapitolini.org

- Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi – Tuesday 14 April at 16:30: curators present the exhibition GAM 100. A century of the municipal gallery 1925-2025 (free entry to Sala Tenerani).
- Museo Civico di Zoologia – Thursday 16 April at 17:00: lecture in the series The story behind. Naturalists and Museum Collections on Francesco Chigi della Rovere (free admission until seats are filled).
- Roman Walks and archaeological activities – selected appointments:
- Saturday 11 April, 10:00: special opening of Porta del Popolo with panoramic terrace (LIS interpreter; reservation 060608; max 15 participants; not suitable for visitors with mobility impairments).

- Wednesday 15 April, 10:00: visit to Porta San Sebastiano and the Museum of the Walls, followed at 11:30 by a visit to the archaeological excavation at Via Alessandrina, Roman Forums (reservation 060608; participation and accessibility limits apply).
