Dreaming in Art: A journey through the art multiverses in Bra

From 10 to 26 April 2026, Palazzo Mathis (Piazza Caduti per la Libertà 20) in Bra hosts the third edition of "Dreaming in Art – Journey through the art multiverses of Langhe and Roero. A collective dialogue on the contemporary." The exhibition is designed to connect artistic languages with local identities, offering distinct yet interrelated sections.

Vernissage: Friday 10 April 2026, 17:30. Entrance to the opening is free until seating capacity is reached; a reception will follow. The evening will feature a musical suite curated by Maestro Cristiano Alasia.

Exhibition layout

The show is organised into five thematic sections, each conceived as an expressive "multiverse" that contributes to a broader narrative about Langhe and Roero:

  • Painting – Works by selected artists exploring contemporary themes through a variety of approaches. Participating painters include Roberto Andreoli, Maura Boccato, Nadia Canevaro, Enzo Cattaneo, Giovanna Galizio, Franco Gotta, Petronija Makaveeva, Tore Milano, Ada Perona, Francesca Semeraro, Riccardo Testa and Andrea Zanninello.
  • Photography – Projects by Giovanni Gutamo and Paolo Vergnano, focusing on landscape and territorial change.
  • Writing – Contributions from authors Pino Berrino, Marina Panero with Wilma Basolo and Ivo Chiolerio, Giovanni Repetto with Ettore Chiavassa, adding literary and reflective layers to the visual narrative.
  • Sculpture – A section dedicated to the late Gioachino Chiesa, curated by the Anforianus Association. The display includes pieces in plaster, bronze and wood that explore fragility, bonds, rootedness and hope; original handwritten reflections by the artist are also on show, accompanied by a narrative text performed by actor Paolo Tibaldi.
  • Digital – Curated by Diego Repetto (AICA Italy), featuring the immersive installation "Tuber magnatum" by Collettivo dell'Antimateria, which prompts reflection on art, place and immateriality.
