Stefano Zagaglia. The Last Ark

The DAV – Department of Visual Arts in Soresina hosts The Last Ark, a retrospective by Milan-based painter Stefano Zagaglia (b. 1966). The exhibition gathers recent oil paintings that probe the bond between humans and nature, with an emphasis on African fauna and the distinctive light that reveals their presence.

Zagaglia's work moves beyond documentary representation: his paintings create intimate encounters between viewer and subject, restoring individuality and dignity to the animals portrayed. Through color, texture and meticulous detail, the works propose both an aesthetic experience and a prompt for reflection on biodiversity and coexistence.
