Siena: book presentation at Palazzo Patrizi — 'Classico attuale. The Ancient in Contemporary Culture'

On Wednesday 8 April in the Sala degli Intronati at Palazzo Patrizi, Moreno Lifodi and Sabrina Pirri will present the volume Classico attuale. L'antico nella cultura contemporanea, edited by Tommaso Braccini (Carocci Editore, 2026). The editor is expected to attend.

The book brings together twenty-one essays in which specialists examine the multiple reappearances of antiquity in contemporary culture: from advertising and fashion to rock music, from comics and TV series to videogames, and including literature, theatre, opera and dance. It is a handbook showing how the classics continue to engage with the present, including in popular and avant-garde contexts.
