The Edilberto Rosa Civic Museum in Amelia has opened “Sguardi di donna”, showcasing selected works from the collection of Luciana Conti Paladini. Launched alongside March 8 celebrations, the exhibition makes a private collection publicly accessible, focused solely on representations of women.
The display traces multiple approaches to the female figure through different techniques and styles: portraiture, sculpture, realism and abstract gestures. The curatorial thread highlights how the woman’s body and face have been interpreted with varied sensitivities and psychological depth.

The donation by Luciana Conti, alongside her husband Aldo Paladini, has enriched the municipal collection with important 20th-century works. The exhibition was prepared in collaboration with Amelia Musei staff and the municipal Culture Department to ensure a coherent and engaging visitor experience.
Visitors are encouraged to view the show as an opportunity to discover both the artworks and Amelia’s archaeological and historical context. The project underlines the role of institutional cooperation in promoting local cultural heritage and presents the museum as an active cultural hub.
