From 10 to 30 April 2026 PROSA_contemporanea presents Intangible Metamorphosis, a solo exhibition by Japanese artist Uemon Ikeda, curated by Alberto Dambruoso. The project is supported by the Japan Foundation and the Italy–Japan Foundation.
The display combines an environmental installation with a selection of watercolors on paper. The centerpiece is a long red thread made of wool and silk that runs through the gallery space and invites public interaction, reshaping the visitor's spatial perception.
The vernissage takes place on 10 April 2026: the exhibition opens at 18:30 and at 19:30 a Butoh dance performance by Flavio Arcangeli will engage with the installation to animate the work.
Ikeda's practice explores the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, using the red thread as a minimal yet powerful device to define and transform space. The exhibition frames painting alongside installation, offering a view on immaterial transformation and participatory spatial experience.
The show is recommended for audiences interested in contemporary art projects that merge pictorial work with site-specific installation and performative practices.
