From April 10 to 12, 2026 the Coffee House at Palazzo Colonna hosts an exhibition curated by art manager Michele Crocitto that investigates the relationship between painting and photography. The show juxtaposes different visual languages and presents works that move between memory, myth and contemporary experimentation.
The exhibition looks at how painting and photography inform each other: photography is no longer only documentation and painting goes beyond representation. Works on display investigate the body as surface, the dissolution of the image and controlled overexposure as an aesthetic gesture. A recurring theme is the portrayal of the female figure, explored through portraits, painted interventions and photographic installations that play with light, myth and transformed domestic scenes.
For visitors: the live painting on April 10 provides a direct view of the creative process, connecting painterly gesture, the body and photography. The exhibition is aimed at those interested in the cross-fertilization of visual languages and contemporary visual research.
