Risvegli da Collezione is a travelling project that rethinks breakfast as a cultural and museum-like moment. Created by Sara De Bellis, the format stages themed mornings in distinguished venues that host collections and local memories, turning the first meal of the day into an immersive discovery path.
Debut in Sorrento (29 April 2026)
The first stop took place on 29 April 2026 at the Grand Hotel La Favorita in Sorrento, a property often likened to a boutique museum for its collections of ceramics and tiles. The breakfast, titled “Awakening among Citrus,” combined showcooking, pastry workshops, conversations with the hosts and botanical walks to offer guests a sensory journey that weaves together taste, memory and landscape.
The format underlines breakfast as a strategic element of hospitality—an opportunity for a place to express its identity and tell its territorial story.
Each Risvegli da Collezione event is tailored to its host venue. Typical features include:
The tour will continue with further stops, including an event on 27 May 2026 at the Isola delle Rose in Venice, also presented as a themed morning in harmony with the lagoon landscape.
Although hosted in hospitality venues, Risvegli da Collezione addresses concerns relevant to museums: collection conservation and promotion, cultural mediation and the design of experiential paths. In this perspective, breakfast becomes a living micro-museum that communicates the history, craftsmanship and flavours of a place to both local and international audiences.
