Rimini: 'Cuore e Burlesque Festival' returns to the historic centre

From 5 to 7 June the city will host the second edition of the Rimini Cuore e Burlesque Festival, organized by performer Freaky Candy (Silvia Capannini). For the first time in Italy a burlesque festival is officially included in the city's tourism calendar, supported by Visit Rimini, Rimini Turismo and the municipal administration.

This edition strengthens ties with local cultural institutions: the Teatro degli Atti is the main venue and the Fellini Museum offers a reduced entry fee to festival ticket holders for the whole weekend.

The programme combines performances, training and city-wide events:

  • Friday 5 June – Burlesque craft fair at Teatro degli Atti; Competition Night: Mx Rimini Burlesque, an international contest for emerging talents.
  • Saturday 6 JuneShowgirls Downtown, an itinerant photoshoot inspired by Fellini’s circus from Ponte di Tiberio to Piazza dei Sogni; craft exhibition; Gran Gala Stars Night with international headliners and an after party in the city centre.
  • Sunday 7 June – Workshops open to professionals and enthusiasts; final beach party in collaboration with Chiringay.

International performers announced include the American INGA (making her Italy debut), Swiss artist Misty Lotus and Greek performer John Celestus. The festival is expected to draw artists and audiences from across Europe and beyond.

Tickets are on sale via LiveTicket and Ticketone. Full programme and information at the official site: www.cuoreeburlesquefestival.com

The initiative is presented as a cultural and tourism project aimed at promoting inclusion, body positivity and experiential tourism while enhancing the city’s cultural assets.
