Regional funding for the Padua Botanical Garden

The Veneto Region has approved a €100,000 allocation to support the project "Educate between Nature and Science", presented by the University of Padua's Botanical Garden center. The Botanical Garden has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997 and is included among Italian sites receiving funding for heritage enhancement.

The grant targets practical and educational goals: strengthening school programs, scientific outreach, visitor accessibility and initiatives aimed particularly at young people, while enhancing the site's cultural and research roles.

  • Amount allocated: €100,000
  • Project: "Educate between Nature and Science"
  • Site: Padua Botanical Garden — UNESCO World Heritage since 1997
  • Main objectives: environmental education, science communication, accessibility and cultural enhancement

Regional officials emphasize that the investment will strengthen the site's ability to convey knowledge and local identity by supporting activities that combine research, training and public engagement. Planned measures include educational workshops, guided learning paths and conservation and enhancement actions for the garden's botanical and historical heritage.
