When the sun sets over the Strait, Reggio Calabria certainly doesn’t go to sleep. And if you’re looking for an evening out of the ordinary (and away from the usual nightlife), there’s a place where you can truly touch the stars: the Pythagoras Planetarium.
Nestled in greenery, just a short walk from the seafront, this little gem takes you on a journey through constellations, planets, and distant galaxies. Every Tuesday and Friday at 9 p.m., the sky lights up beneath the planetarium’s dome: spectacular projections, mythological tales, and virtual journeys through the universe for both young and old. And on the second and last Friday of each month, themed lectures and guided outdoor telescope observations are added to the program (weather permitting!).
It’s a different, fascinating, and fun way to experience the city by night — whether you’re with friends, as a couple, or with the whole family. Because in Reggio, even the sky knows how to take center stage.
