Venaria Reale, part of the UNESCO Residenze Sabaude site, is a major example of Italian Baroque architecture. This practical guide covers what to see, visitor information and the dates for the cherry blossom in 2026.
Spring is ideal to enjoy the gardens in bloom, while autumn offers vivid colours and fewer crowds. The cherry blossom in the Potager Royal is scheduled from 21 March to 6 April 2026, with occasional illuminated evening openings.
The palace is usually open Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays). Typical hours are roughly 9:30–17:00 in winter and up to 19:30 in summer and on holidays. Combined Palace + Gardens tickets are approximately €20 for full price, with concessions available. Expect 3–4 hours for a full visit of interiors and gardens; standard guided tours last about 90 minutes.
Built in the 17th century for Carlo Emanuele II of Savoy and expanded by Vittorio Amedeo II, the palace experienced varied uses over centuries and underwent major restoration to become a cultural hub. It is today part of the UNESCO heritage and preserves notable Baroque architecture and scenography.
Planning tip: pick the season wisely, reserve tickets in advance and allocate enough time for gardens and exhibitions.
