Museo Plart in Naples has extended the exhibition “RI… VITA. The design of other worlds” until 30 April 2026. Opened on 29 January, the show brings into dialogue carved wooden figures from Val Gardena with historical plastic objects from the Plart collection, exploring the links between artisanal memory and industrial production.
Organized by Claudio Gambardella and presented by the Fondazione Plart, the exhibition highlights how different production processes — manual craftsmanship and industrial reproducibility — contribute to the cultural value of objects.
The exhibition underscores the significance of making — from molds and models to the artisan’s hand — showing how objects convey identity and historical narratives across materials and eras.
The exhibition is suitable for visitors interested in design history, material culture and the evolution of production techniques. It offers concrete insights into the role of plastic in contemporary material culture and the enduring value of the act of making.
