Extended: “The Gods Return. The Bronzes of San Casciano” at the Aquileia National Archaeological Museum

The Aquileia National Archaeological Museum has extended the exhibition The Gods Return. The Bronzes of San Casciano until Sunday, 12 April 2026. The show displays a major assemblage of finds unearthed during excavations carried out between 2022 and 2024 at San Casciano dei Bagni.

• Highlights: more than 300 objects, mainly bronze, illustrating the relationship between local communities, cult practices and deities in an Etruscan and Roman sanctuary.
• Archaeological significance: the collection sheds light on ritual activities associated with thermal and healing waters and offers new perspectives on the sanctuary site.
• Exhibition route: after prestigious stops at the Quirinale Palace and the archaeological museums of Reggio Calabria and Naples, the show continues in Aquileia with some of the most recent finds displayed here for the first time.

The extension includes special openings during the Easter holidays: Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April (Easter Sunday and Easter Monday), with regular opening hours from 10:00 to 19:00 and last admission at 18:00.
