At Milan Design Week, POOL – I Unlock a Memory presents an immersive route where collective memory meets pop culture and contemporary art. The installation reframes familiar signs as narrative devices, encouraging visitors to reconsider everyday objects and colours within a cultural context.
The project investigates how commercial imagery and consumer items become repositories of shared memory. The installation is organized around three thematic axes that link childhood, chromatic play and memory technology:
The show is structured into rooms conceived as thematic microcosms. Each space uses material, light and sound to shape visitor perception:
The installation is relevant for those interested in contemporary art, visual culture and design: it demonstrates how commercial language can be recoded into artistic practice. The combination of physical elements and digital tools makes the experience engaging for both professionals and the general public.
The exhibition is part of the Milan Design Week program. Check official event channels for opening times and access rules. Bringing a smartphone is recommended to fully engage with interactive features; allow sufficient time to explore all sections, which blend contemplative and participatory moments.
