Playtime in Carpi: two days of family-friendly games and workshops

Carpi's historic centre becomes a large play laboratory: on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May Palazzo dei Pio and Piazza Martiri host the second edition of Playtime – It's time to play in Carpi, alongside the Children's Festival. The event is designed for families and enthusiasts of all ages, offering activities that introduce children to creative play and provide shared experiences for adults.

• Board games and card exchanges with continuous sessions in the Courtyard and rooms of Palazzo dei Pio.
• Role-playing games (e.g. Dungeons & Dragons) in the Sala dei Cervi.
• 2026 releases and areas dedicated to video games and virtual reality in the Sala Ex Poste.
• Immersive experiences and themed photo sets in the northern small courtyard and the eastern courtyard.
• Children's Festival in Piazza Martiri with games and creative activities for younger children (Sunday afternoon).
• Preview lecture on Friday 8 May at 18:00 in Auditorium Loria about the role of play in modern society.

Hours: Saturday 9 May from 10:00 to 23:00; Sunday 10 May from 10:00 to 19:00. Activities take place across several public spaces and within Library Loria and Palazzo dei Pio facilities.
