This year Udine’s museums present a special Easter Monday program with extended openings, musical performances and family-friendly events. The focus is on the Castle museums, the Ethnographic Museum of Friuli and Casa Cavazzini.
The "Musica & Musei" series turns the Galleria d’Arte Antica into a dispersed stage. The afternoon schedule includes classical and traditional repertoire:
Free admission to the Castle concerts.
On via Grazzano the programme features "Parole indomite" with an ensemble of three cellos and a voice blending jazz and folk influences from border cultures. Performances are scheduled at 11:30 AM, 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Seating is limited, so booking is recommended.
Casa Cavazzini hosts "Impressionism and Modernity, Kunst Museum Winterthur", open also over Easter and Easter Monday. The exhibition displays 84 masterpieces by artists such as Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinsky and Magritte, and runs until August 30. It offers a wide-ranging cultural itinerary to pair with the musical events.
The local authorities highlight the role of such initiatives in attracting residents, families and young people to the museum network through combined cultural and musical offerings.
