Easter Weekend 2026 in Turin: exhibitions open and special museum openings
During the Easter weekend (Sunday 5 April) and Easter Monday (Monday 6 April) Turin offers special openings at major museums and a range of temporary exhibitions. Below are practical details on hours, highlighted shows and tips to plan your visit.
Main museums and openings
- Musei Reali: free entry on Sunday 5 April from 9:00 to 19:00 (last ticket at 18:00; tickets collected on site, not online). Monday 6 April open 9:00–19:00 with regular fares. The circuit includes Palazzo Reale, Galleria Sabauda, Armeria Reale, Museo di Antichità, the Chapel of the Holy Shroud and the Royal Gardens (the gardens are always free). Current exhibitions include "Orazio Gentileschi, un pittore in viaggio" and "Beato Angelico negli occhi di Bartholomeus Spranger. Giudizi Universali a confronto".
- Fondazione Musei (GAM, MAO, Palazzo Madama): GAM, MAO and Palazzo Madama will be open on Sunday 5 and Monday 6 April with regular hours 10:00–18:00. Palazzo Madama hosts "MonumenTo, Torino Capitale"; MAO features "L’estasi del bronzo: i capolavori di Zanabazar" (last weekend) and Chiharu Shiota's "The Webs of the Soul"; GAM presents "NOTTI. Five centuries of stars, dreams, full moons" (until 12 April).
- Egyptian Museum (Museo Egizio): open during the holidays. From 2 to 6 April the special initiative "Be the First" allows early entry from 8:00 to 8:40 with coffee and croissant for €1 at the museum café. Places are limited and a dedicated ticket is required.
