Wagner Museum Joins the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia Network

The Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MuVe) has taken on the management of the Wagner Museum, located inside Ca' Vendramin Calergi, the historic palace where the composer spent several periods. The agreement was reached with the Casino of Venice and the Richard Wagner Association.

The museum will officially become part of MuVe in 2027: prior to the full handover, the Foundation will carry out assessments and adaptation works to enhance visitor experience, safeguard collections and develop the cultural programme.

• Timeline: planned operational start in 2027 after necessary technical and design interventions.
• Location: Ca' Vendramin Calergi, the Venetian palace that also hosts the Casino of Venice and preserves the historical link with Richard Wagner.
• Planned goals: improve accessibility and services, integrate cultural routes and promote initiatives related to the composer and the associated heritage.
