Easter at Palazzo Farnese: opening hours

The Civic Museums at Palazzo Farnese will operate on special hours for the Easter weekend. Practical opening times are listed below to help plan your visit:

  • Friday, April 3: 10:00–13:00 and 15:00–18:00
  • Saturday April 4, Sunday April 5 and Monday April 6: continuous opening 10:00–18:00

Scheduled activities and guided tours

Two main offerings are planned for the weekend: a family-friendly guided tour with a hands-on workshop and a series of thematic guided tours focused on renewal and peace within the collections.

  • Friday, April 3 at 16:00: a guided walk exploring rites and symbols of rebirth from the Greco-Roman world to Christianity. The route crosses the Pinacoteca and the Roman Section of the Civic Museums and finishes with a creative workshop in the educational rooms to repurpose materials and meanings.

    Cost: entry to the specific activity €2. Recommended age 4–12 years. Reservation required by email: [email protected].

  • Sunday April 5 and Monday April 6 — "Pace in Terra" (Peace on Earth): thematic visits highlighting motifs of renewal and reconciliation in the collections, with several guided sessions:
    • 10:00 — route through the Civic Museum, Pinacoteca and Carriage Museum (€5 + museum entry ticket)
    • 11:30 — visit to the exhibition "Sibyls. Voices beyond time, beyond stone" (€3 + museum entry ticket)
    • 15:00 — second guided route through the Civic Museum, Pinacoteca and Carriage Museum (free visit + museum entry ticket)
    • 16:30 — free visit to the Archaeological Museum and the Carriage Museum (free + museum entry ticket)

    Please note that on the first Sunday of the month the standard museum entry price is reduced to €1.
