Three-year partnership between La Venaria Reale and Domaine national de

Agreement signed in Turin on 21 April 2026

On 21 April 2026 a formal partnership was signed between La Venaria Reale and the Domaine national de Chambord. The agreement, signed by Pierre Dubreuil (General Director of Chambord) and Michele Briamonte (President of the Consortium of the Royal Residences of the House of Savoy), runs for three years and aims to strengthen cooperation between two UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Main goals of the partnership

• Develop joint communication and event initiatives: exhibitions, conferences and artistic projects for both national and international audiences.
• Exchange best practices in heritage management and enhancement of historic sites and landscapes.
• Promote scientific exchanges on biodiversity conservation, sustainable forest management and silvo‑hunting balance, tailored to each estate's features.

Why it matters

This collaboration brings together expertise in managing large historic sites recognized by UNESCO. Both complexes—the restored ducal residence La Venaria Reale and the monumental castle and forest estate of Chambord—are landmark examples of architectural, landscape and natural heritage, sharing historical ties as sites of representation of power and hunting reserves.
