Parma: “Asmat” at the Chinese and Ethnographic Art Museum

The selection brings together roughly forty works that highlight technical skill and symbolic meaning: wooden sculptures, spears, shields and the imposing ancestor poles define the exhibition route.

  • Anthropological insight: a concentrated look at the symbols and artistic-ritual practices of the Asmat area;
  • Curatorial setup: an exhibition design aimed at emphasizing form, technique and cultural context.
