From 10 May to 6 September 2026 the Civic Archaeological Museum of Angera presents "L'Archivio Angera", an exhibition focused on decades of archaeological work at the Roman vicus and across the Basso Verbano territory.
The exhibition is curated by Prof. Emanuele E. Intagliata and Anna Bernardoni, with contributions from researchers and students who took part in campaigns between 1975 and 1986. The display highlights excavation methodology and the research value of archival collections.
The inauguration is scheduled for Sunday 10 May 2026 at 16:00. Curators will present the exhibition project; interventions by scholars and local heritage representatives are planned. A guided visit led by the curators and archaeology students from the University of Milan will follow.
Participation in the opening is free, but reservation is required at: [email protected].
The exhibition provides a clear, practical overview of excavation techniques and archival management, making it a valuable stop for students, researchers and archaeology enthusiasts interested in fieldwork processes and the preservation of excavation records.
