Osteria Ai Filodrammatici – Treviso Tradition with a View of History

Autore: Redazione 30/07/2025 09:57

If you find yourself in the center of Treviso, just a few steps from the splendid Loggia dei Cavalieri, you can’t miss a stop at Osteria Ai Filodrammatici. This venue is a true homage to Venetian cuisine, served in a warm and convivial atmosphere that feels like home and like time standing still.

The setting is carefully designed, spread over two floors with different yet equally charming styles: upstairs, the atmosphere recalls old-time osterias, with exposed beams and dark wooden furnishings; on the ground floor, the tone shifts, evoking colonial houses with pastel-colored walls and a bohemian touch. In the warmer months, the outdoor tables create a delightful corner overlooking the city—perfect for lunch or dinner immersed in the beauty of the historic center.

Here, tradition is not only respected but exalted. The creamed cod with polenta is a timeless classic, creamy and delicate, served with the perfect balance between sea and land. Not to be missed is the sopa coàda, an ancient and hearty dish prepared with pigeon, bread, and broth—an authentic dive into Veneto’s humble cuisine.

The bigoli with wild boar ragù are an explosion of flavor, while for lovers of lagoon cuisine there are the unmissable sarde in saor, prepared with onion and vinegar as tradition dictates. And if you’re looking for bold flavors, let yourself be tempted by musetto with polenta or guinea fowl in pevarada, spicy and intense.

The wine list highlights local labels, with a special mention for the “sur lie” prosecco served on tap, while beer lovers can enjoy the artisanal selection from the San Gabriel brewery. And to finish, leave room for dessert: tiramisù—born right here in Treviso—is a must. Alternatively, homemade pies and cakes sweetly complete this journey into flavor.
