Crocheted Umbrellas Brighten the Historic Centre of San Pietro al Tanagro

An art installation in the hilltown of San Pietro al Tanagro (Salerno) fills the historic centre with colour and handcrafted detail. Titled "Luce d'estate, ricamata dai mandala all'uncinetto", the project features umbrellas and mandalas crocheted by local women from the association L'Arte nelle Mani.

Each element is handmade using traditional crochet techniques. The suspended umbrellas form a visual route along the main streets, enhancing the historic fabric of the village through accessible public art.
