European Night of Museums at Palazzo Collicola: three special events

On Saturday 23 May 2026 Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto will remain open in the evening (18:00–22:30) for a programme that explores contemporary art, historical memory and live performance. The event, organised by the Musei Civici di Spoleto, consists of three distinct appointments designed to deepen understanding of artistic languages and histories.

• 18:00 - Lecture within the cycle Vita minore. San Francesco and the sanctity of contemporary art: curator Giuseppe Garrera will present the context of Jannis Kounellis's 1969 intervention Untitled and lead a guided visit to see the original poster displayed in the exhibition.
• 21:00 - Visit to the solo exhibition Agraria by Franco Troiani, curated by Saverio Verini. The show marks the artist's eightieth birthday and forty years of STUDIO A'87, featuring wooden and found-object works that converse with the historic Piano Nobile, including a new piece created for the occasion.
• Evening - Site-specific intervention in the inner courtyard: Mouth Out – Voices from the Palace by Fabio Giorgi Alberti, a roughly 15-minute collective action where painted mouths on canvas are animated by voices and a bass drum, transforming the courtyard into a theatre of presences.
