Scarperia Flower Carpet 2026: Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio (45th edition)

One of the Mugello area's most beloved spring events returns: the 45th Infiorata transforms the village streets into large floral pictures. The 2026 theme celebrates Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio for the author’s bicentenary.

Highlights

• Infiorata: floral carpets and street decorations along Via Roma and the main squares; designs are assembled from Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
• Puppet show: "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by class 2L of Luco primary school, at the Palazzo dei Vicari atrium, 11:00 (free entry).
• Family workshop: "Once upon a piece of wood" — free activity for children and families, Palazzo dei Vicari atrium, 17:00.
• Exhibitions: displays of Pinocchio, Lucignolo and Geppetto from the Leprino Museum of Sant’Agata, all day in the Palazzo dei Vicari atrium.
• Info stands: Pescia municipality and Carlo Collodi National Foundation present all day in the Palazzo dei Vicari atrium.
