European Night of Museums at Palazzo Collicola: three evening events
On Saturday 23 May 2026 Palazzo Collicola in Spoleto will open in the evening for a program that connects the monumental setting to historical memory and contemporary practices. Organized by the Civic Museums of Spoleto, the initiative includes three distinct moments to explore works, contexts and artistic practices.
- 18:00 - Lecture in the series Vita minore. San Francesco and the sanctity of contemporary art: curator Giuseppe Garrera introduces Jannis Kounellis's intervention Senza titolo (1969) and leads a guided visit to view the original manifesto on display.
- 21:00 - Visit to the solo exhibition Agraria by Franco Troiani, curated by Saverio Verini. The show celebrates the artist's eighty years and the forty years of STUDIO A'87, featuring wood works and found materials that dialogue with the historic rooms, including a new piece created for the occasion.
- Evening - Site-specific performance in the inner courtyard: Mouth Out – Voices from the Palace by Fabio Giorgi Alberti, approximately 15 minutes of collective action where painted mouths on canvas come alive through voices of friends and collaborators, accompanied by the beat of a bass drum.
Evening opening hours: 18:00-22:30. Palazzo Collicola reaffirms its role as a living monumental site, blending guided visits, historical depth and contemporary experimentation.
