European Night of Museums in Cremona: program for 23 May 2026
On Saturday 23 May 2026 Cremona takes part in the European Night of Museums: several city museums open in the evening with free activities designed for families, students and visitors. The program includes guided tours, workshops, screenings and performances, aligned with Cremona's candidacy process for Italian Capital of Culture 2029.

Museo Civico Ala Ponzone (via Ugolani Dati, 4) - Free opening from 21:00 to 24:00 for the "Stanze per la Musica" and the Sala delle Colonne. At 15:30 guided visit and workshop for children (6-10 years) "Inside the painting: flowers, insects and imagination". Guided tours in Sala delle Colonne at 21:30, 22:15 and 23:00. Free entry with mandatory reservation: [email protected]. The permanent collection and the "Omaggio a Rembrandt" exhibition are open 10:00-17:00 with paid admission.

Stanze per la Musica (via Ugolani Dati, 4) - Open 21:00-24:00; guided visits from 21:30. Sala Manfredini: musical meetings "The guitar from Baroque to the 20th century" with Conservatory students at 21:15, 21:45, 22:15 and 22:45. Free admission.

Museum of Natural History (via Ugolani Dati, 4) - Open 9:00-14:00 and 21:00-24:00. Sala Puerari: loop screening of the documentary "Plastic River" from 21:00 to 24:00. Educational room: family workshop "The Alchemists of Recycling" from 21:00 to 22:00. Exhibition area: "Visions of Childhood" with guided tours by school teachers.

Museum of Rural Life "Il Cambonino Vecchio" (viale Cambonino, 22) - Open 10:00-19:30. From 10:00 to 16:00 family activities for "World Bee Day" with visits to the apiary. From 17:00 to 19:30 "Cultures in Dialogue", featuring voices from different countries.

San Lorenzo Archaeological Museum (via San Lorenzo, 4) - Free opening 21:00-24:00. From 21:00 to 22:00 video-theatre performance "Memento"; the installation "Antico Presente" will be on display as part of the Cremona Contemporanea off-circuit.

Violin Museum (piazza Marconi, 5) - Free opening 21:00-24:00. Guided tours "Routes among the violins" every 15 minutes starting at 21:00 (last departure at 23:30). Exhibition "Flop" featuring contemporary illustrators and a section dedicated to Craig Frazier. Bookshop and café open during museum hours.
