European Night of Museums 2026: meet at Libarna

On Saturday, 23 May 2026 the archaeological site of Libarna will take part in the European Night of Museums with activities aimed at families and those interested in learning archaeology through practical experiences.

Main program

  • Libarna (archaeological area): workshops and activities for children and families from 17:30 to 21:30 (last admission at 20:30), including the "Archeogiochiamo a Libarna" initiative.
  • Themed workshops such as "Sul filo di lana", focused on wool-processing techniques and symbols in Roman times, presented by historical reenactors.
  • Educational routes organized by the Protected Areas of the Piedmont Apennines.
  • Free entry to the archaeological area for the evening.

Other evening openings in the area

  • Agliè Castle: evening exhibition route with immersive environments, open from 19:30 to 23:30, symbolic entry €1.
  • Racconigi Castle: guided evening tours at 19:15, 20:00, 20:45 and 21:30, entry €1.
  • Other participating venues (Moncalieri, Palazzo Carignano, etc.) offer evening openings with varying times and fees; many apply a symbolic €1 ticket for the night.
